WHAT IS IT?
A safe and supportive environment for those living with diabetes to create peer-to-peer connection and community.

Engaging with others to provide support, share knowledge and practical advice can greatly improve your quality of life and well-being.

This group is facilitated by our registered dietitians and social workers to maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere.

Grief Support Group

Our Grief Support Group is open to anyone who has experienced a loss of a loved one. The group is led by Huggins Hospital licensed clinical social worker Wendy Allen who has over a decade of experience working in home health and hospice as well as 1-on-1 counseling. The group provides a social connection for those experiencing loss and the grieving process. The meetings provide an opportunity to share how individuals are doing and to support each other through grief, trying new things, sharing successes, etc. 

When and Where: 
First Wednesday of the Month from 3 - 4 PM 
at Huggins Hospital (NC Conference Room)

Parkinsons Support Group – Second Monday of every month from 1 to 3 PM in the Medical Arts Education Center. This is a Huggins Hospital Support Group organized by hospital employees with informational speakers provided for most meetings.
